It's fitting that on 'World Autism Awareness Day' I've found time to write a brief blog post about the state of Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) funding. In this blog post, I highlight the problems facing SEN pupils.

Allegedly, a headteacher in a school has been suspended, pending review, for adopting a no homework policy. Although I doubt this investigation was triggered solely by the no homework policy, (one suspects there is much more to this story than meets the eye), there is myriad evidence to support the viewpoint that homework provides no benefit to students. Even students know it.

This provides support to what I've been saying since 2016. School budgets are projected to have been cut by 5% from 2015 - 2020. That is on top of the 5% cut in funding from 2010 - 2015.
